Watching a Black Bear Walk By
One thing that I love doing in Juneau, Alaska is getting up early in the morning and heading to the Mendenhall Glacier viewing area. Usually the mornings are calm, quiet and the wildlife is just waking up as well. Depending on what time of year it is, I will see black bear walking the stream searching for salmon.
Black Bear Drinking From Stream
One morning while I was standing on one of the bridges located on the walking path, I spotted a bear taking a drink of cool, refreshing water coming from the glacier stream. I thought it would spook as soon as it saw me standing there but it didn’t seem to mind I was right there.
I’m so glad that I somehow caught the bear on camera so that I could share this experience with you!
