If you have a moment to spare while you’re visiting Sitka, take a few moments to check out Grandma Tillies Bakery!

It’s a little bit off of the beaten path (especially for those touring Sitka by Cruise), about 7 minutes from the airport via vehicle, but Grandma Tillies is well-worth the trek! This tiny and delicious bakery offers mouthwatering baked goods and sweets.

The bakery itself is tiny. There’s a walk-up window but no place to go in. But my goodness – if you’re looking for delicious and large baked goods, you don’t want to miss this place!

What the bakery lacks in seating space, they make up with their cinnamon rolls!

You might be wondering how I stumbled upon this sweet treat of a place when it’s fairly far from the downtown area. When traveling with friends one year, I rented the Golden Alaskan Lodge for a few nights (it’s a beautiful place – if you’re interested, check out my review here).
