Halibut Fishing in Petersburg Alaska
The first time I went halibut fishing in Southeast Alaska was almost a decade ago. I didn't know what to expect but I was excited. I would later find out that just being on the water in the majestic Alaskan setting would exceed my expectations, let alone fishing in such a gorgeous place. 12 Hours in Petersburg, Alaska
Petersburg is a small fishing town in Southeast Alaska. Located on Alaska Airlines' flight path, this city has 1 flight into town and 1 flight out of town each day. The Alaska State Ferry also stops here as well as a couple of smaller cruise lines. If you find yourself in this neck of the woods, you're in luck. Albeit small, this city has a lot to offer. Hike the Hungry Point Trail: This 40 minute trail starts at one end of the town and makes its way towards the airport. Well marked and not too challenging, the trail has ...
